We are Carlee and Chuck Erickson.  Carlee is originally from Tonganoxie, KS and Chuck is from Chicago, IL.  We are grandparents to four littles and die hard Kansas Jayhawk fans.  You can almost always find Chuck in our bakery's food truck or working behind the scenes either on the website or building all the crazy things he gets voluntold to do by Carlee.  Chuck works full time for a global company and leads a team of project managers from his home office in Marysville.  Carlee is the mastermind behind it all...she calls it organized chaos.  She LOVES to bake so she turned that love into It's A Sweet Treat Day Bakery, which started in Tonganoxie in 2013.  Together, Chuck and Carlee love to serve, not only people but Jesus Christ and our hope is that everyone feels welcome in our store.

The "Merc" was created to feed all of Carlee's crazy ideas.  Carlee wanted a space that offered old-time feel of stores from when her grandparents were children, while having offerings that other local stores may not have.  The shop features both new and gently used home decor, bulk spices, soaps, candies, multiple food options, including sweet and savory cheeseballs, dips, marinades, sauces and dressings, as well as meat and cheese, pickles, soda, popcorn, and the list goes on and on.
